Org Chart Mapping - Your Next 10 Hires!
General Introductory Resources
Parental Support Program (Getting started / enhancing current offerings)
ORG CHART MAP OUT FOR START-UPS
The first 10-20 hires lay the foundation for long-term success. We’ll brainstorm through the current roles, personnel and skill-sets, then map out what the upcoming priorities are and some possible or charts that would out the team to achieve them.
Questions we’ll solve based on the company structure, market, current skills, goals, etc.:
Should I hire a marketing team internally or an agency?
Our AE’s are stretched too thin. Do we hire an SDR? How many? Or someone in Sales Operations?
I have budget for one hire, originally earmarked or a product marketer, but needing immediate Project Management help now…
At what headcount should we bring things in house? HR? Finance?
Available for groups (great lunch + learn topic) or as a private session.
Flexible ROLE CONSTRUCTION
Hiring less than full-time roles can be risky and a big unknown for a company, especially one that’s working tirelessly towards accomplishing a big mission. We’ll help you build out and institute policies that ensure there is enough flexibility to help a parent thrive at your organization. This is something we’re passionate about - and want to help do for your current and future workforce.
If these questions are on your mind - let’s chat! It’s easier than you might think.
How do I create a policy where time and compensation work together that is easy to implement?
Where is the line between a fully benefited employee and a part-time or freelancing employee?
How do I maintain our culture but also provide accommodations/support for families?
What are some tips for retaining and recruiting parents?
How would onboarding, team meetings, and review cycles be impacted?
How does PTO work if someone only works 3 days a week?
TEMPORARY/LEAVE ASSISTANCE
We’ll place Part-time hustlers with you to cover an employee leave. Our goal is that co-workers are stoked for a colleague to bond with their baby, or be there for a family member in need. To accomplish this - their work cannot be pushed onto a teammate until they return. Our highly skilled placements will jump right in and hustle hard. We charge a mark-up on their hourly work so that you won’t be responsible for benefits, etc. We know you’re already a bit stretched while you continue to support the original employee as they take the time they need!

Facilitator:
Nikki Adamson became an advocate for working families after having her own child and realizing that her then-current role in the tech industry was at odds with her new obligations as a parent. She’s worked in the employee benefits space and has current benchmarking knowledge of what policies, initiatives and software great companies are using to support parents, She also understands practical limitations and enjoys helping scrappy organizations leverage their culture and values to provide real support (not flash or lip service) to critical initiatives for this vulnerable population of employees.
Example of some starting points:
- parental leave policy and benchmarking
- transition back to work templates (including fractional options) for managers
- PT temps to cover leaves instead of dispersing work
- encouraging positive company culture in support of accommodations for parents
- messaging to help ensure employees feel comfortable using leaves/resources
- Internal parent community
- Childcare
- practical lactation rooms
- manager training around having breastfeeding moms in the office
- software and employee benefit solutions that support employees from conception through leave paperwork and breastfeeding help
